Book Review: Electric War by Mike Winchell

4.8 out of 5 stars. Engrossing and easy listen or read. I had the audiobook and the narrator was pleasant and did a fantastic job.

Just finished a fantastic book by author Mike Winchell, “The Electric War” tells the tale of the battle of the currents between Edison and his direct current and Westinghouse/Tesla and Alternating Current. This book really has it all for anyone interested in the topic or just the Gilded Age as a whole. It tells about the dirty tactics of Edison and wipes the sheen off of the man entirely. Tesla and Westinghouse shine as upstanding gentlemen who won a war that Edison fought dirty.
